I named and created this brand for an Irish bar and Restaurant in Melbourne. I have an acute admiration for Ireland’s first female president and humanitarian, Mary Robinson. I researched her speeches and found a poignant phrase from her inaugural speech in 1990 in which she declares all immigrants of Ireland as a Fifth Province outside of the countries geographical four provinces.
I created a crest using this phrase and this was the base design for the broadsheet style newsprint menus, the business cards, signage and digital assets for the venue. Being budget and environmentally conscious I only used black ink in every design and recycled materials for its output.
